What We Do
American Double’s projects put into reality the vision of familiarizing audiences and other musicians with well-established composers of American and European origin, whose works for violin and piano are underrepresented in the concert repertoire. In keeping with this, the duo has performed works by composers as diverse as Arthur Foote and Ezra Laderman. On September 1st, 2007, their recording of the complete works for violin and piano by William Bolcom was released by Albany Records.
While enriching the repertoire with forgotten works, American Double celebrates masterworks of the traditional repertoire. Our “Sonatas” CD features sonatas by Brahms, Beethoven and Ravel.
Planning a concert tour can be quite a task, especially if your performances take you across the Atlantic. The time we spent in Hungary, from March 5th through the 16th, 2004, was amazing and unforgettable. Here is a day-by-day account of the tour.
